A Whole-Person Approach to Acting: Acting is an art which requires both freedom and control. But, without an understanding of how we work as a total pattern and the role of habit it is easy to fall short of our ideals. Actors take lessons with us for the following reasons:

  • To recover from injuries
  • To avoid becoming injured
  • To cultivate good voice production technique
  • To liberate performance from habit
  • To improve coordination and control
  • To deal with the habit of "stage fright"
  • To learn to cope better with colleagues, professional insecurities and general life issues
